Information
habit, corms and leaves as in S. elegans; peduncle shorter than the leaves, 2–4-flowered; spathe 1/2– 3/4 in. long; perianth 1 in. long, copper-yellow, with a purple throat bordered with black and a yellow spot in the centre; stamens less than half as long as the limb, the anthers equalling the connivent filaments. null

SOUTH AFRICA without locality.
Notes
Known only from the plant figured, which flowered in Mr. Colville's nursery in 1838.
