Caulescent herb up to 36 cm. long; stems elongated, branched towards the base; leaves up to 15 mm. long, 2–3-bifid; spathellae about 2 mm. long; flower in the spathella about 1·5 mm. long; pedicel about 2 mm. ultimately up to 5 mm. long; tepals 0·6 mm. long; filaments 0·6 mm. long, anthers 0·75 mm. long; staminode about 0·5 mm. long; ovary 1·25 mm. long; stigmas about 0·1 mm. long; capsule 14-ribbed; each valve 7-ribbed, the persistent valve slightly inrolled.
