Names

Information
Branches pale brown, glabrescent, residual indumentum confined to strips. Leaves 4–9.5 x 1–2.5 cm.; margin serrate, serrations “gland”-tipped and hooked towards the leaf axis; apex subacuminate; uniformly pubescent on both surfaces, especially on the midrib towards base above and on (all) the nerves beneath; uniformly black gland-dotted when dry by transmitted light; petioles up to 1.5 cm. long, pubescent. Bracts within the panicle usually small, occasionally enlarged up to 2 cm. long and foliaceous; all axes shortly pubescent or glabrescent. Calyx-tube ± 0.25 mm. long; tubercles free apically, fringed; calyx-lobes 1.75 x 0.75 (–1) mm., shortly pubescent, distinctly gland-dotted. Petals yellow or white, ± 2 mm. long in mature bud. Ovary 0.5 x 0.3 mm. densely ciliate. Fruiting pedicels straight or slightly curved. Capsules ± 4.5 x 2 mm., irregularly pubescent, especially above, with a few large distinct black gland-spots. Aril not more than half length of seed.
