Notes
Conservation Probably least concern (LC)C. Cusset in Adansonia sér. 2, 20, 2: 199–207 (1980), in her thorough treatment of Leiothylax, said it was difficult to gauge the taxonomic value of L. violascens as ‘all the material cited in the protologue has disappeared’ – but a duplicate is present at BM, and is a close match for Milne-Redhead & Taylor 11028. Cusset thought the ‘Kinga Mts, Divoro’ locality was in Malawi, but did not mention the taxon in her treatment in FZ.
