Information
Perennial herb,sometimes described as a shrublet, 0.4–1.5 m high, sometimes with trailing stems; stems pale green, white-puberulous with crisped hairs, sometimes slightly scabridulous. Leaves ovate to deltoid, 1–6 cm long, 0.3–5.5 cm wide, base cuneate to cordate-hastate, scabridulous above, densely scabridulous-pubescent and glandular beneath. Capitula 5–12 mm long; phyllaries 2–12 mm long, white-pubescent. Tube of outer florets cylindric, 1.4–2.5 mm long and sparsely glandular, ray 6–10 mm long, style 2.5–3.5 mm long; disc florets with tube narrowly infundibuliform, 1.7–4.5 mm long, lobes 0.5–0.7 mm long and glandular. Achenes 1.3–1.8 mm long, pubescent; pappus of squamae 0.1–1.7 mm long. Fig. 69.
