Description
A scandant shrub or small tree, of forest understorey or in secondary jungle from Sierra Leone to S Nigeria.The plant is added to medicinal baths in Accra (Williams fide 4). Sap is used to make blue colour in tattooing in Ghana (2, 4). The fruit are yellow ripening black, and the pulp is sweet and edible (1, 3, 4).
