Information
Shrub or small tree, 1–7 m high; branches covered with short spreading, almost scabrid, pubescence. Leaves (3.5–)9–20 cm long, eglandular except sometimes for tiny bodies clustered at leaflet-insertions; stipules subulate above broader base, 5–11 mm long; leaflets 5–13 pairs, elliptic or elliptic-obovate or subcircular, 0.7–2.5(–3.5) x 0.4–1.4(–2.2) cm with generally slightly scabrid pubescence. Racemes 10–37 cm long; bracts ovate-triangular, caudate, caducous. Petals bright yellow, 1.4–2.8 cm long. Stamens 9–10: 2 anthers large, 4–5 medium-sized, 3 small. Pods oblong, flattened, 3.5–7.5 x 1–1.8cm, not crested, at most rounded over each seed, dehiscent, transversely septate within. Seeds transversely arranged, compressed, oblong-ovate, apiculate near hilum, often emarginate at opposite end, 6–7.5 x 4–4.5 x 1.5–2.5 mm, reticulate, with a small areole on each face.
