Shrub or small tree, 1–3 m high; branches glabrous. Leaves 4–8 cm long, eglandular; leaflets 5–7(–9) pairs, obovate-elliptic, 3.5–11 x 2.5–6 mm, rounded to subacute at the apex,glabrous or ciliate. Racemes 10–30 cm long. Petals yellow, 20–32 mm long. Stamens: 2 anthers large, 5 medium-sized, 3 small. Pods oblong, flattened, 4.5–7.5 x 1.5–2.5 cm, not crested, but rounded over each seed, glabrous. Seeds transversely arranged, compressed, oblong, 8 x 4 mm, reticulate, with an areole on each face.
