Information
Basal leaves sessile; stem leaves ± auriculate, pinnately lobed with ovate, rounded, ± apiculate-lobulate lobes, to 8 cm long and 6.5 cm wide; involucre 6.5–10 mm long, 3.5–5.5 mm in diameter; calyculus bracts 2–7.5 mm long; phyllaries 6–10 mm long. Ray florets 8–9.

Notes
USES. None recorded on specimens from our areaCONSERVATION Seventeen specimens from Uganda; data deficient (DD) Leaf margins vary considerably in the material seen and Osmaston 1252 from 2400 m has the stem leaves conforming to the description of var. transmarinus but lower leaves are pinnatilobed as in var. sycephyllus. Magogo 31 from 2600 m has most leaves dentate but some seem to be almost pinnatilobed.
