bulb ovoid, 1 1/2–1 in. diam., crowned with numerous persistent bristles; leaves 5–6, lanceolate, rigidly coriaceous, strongly ribbed, glabrous, 1/2–1 ft. long, 1/2–1 in. broad; peduncle about as long as the leaves; raceme dense, 3–6 in. long, 2–3 in. broad; pedicels articulated at the apex, lower spreading, 1–1 1/2 in. long; bracts linear, 1/4 in. long; perianth white, tinged with green, campanulate, 1/8– 1/6 in. long; segments oblong; filaments linear, shorter than the perianth-segments; ovary globose, green, stipitate; ovules 6–8 in a cell; style rather longer than the ovary. null
