Information
Bulb ovoid, 1/2– 3/4 in. diam. Leaves 2, suberect, oblong or oblong-lanceolate, 2–3 in. long, 1/2–1 in. broad, with an entirely sheathing petiole. Peduncle 2–5 in. long. Raceme lax, oblong, 1 1/2–3 in. long; lower pedicels 1/4– 1/3 in. long; bracts minute. Perianth campanulate, 1/6– 1/5 in. long, green or slightly tinged with purple; segments oblong-lanceolate. Stamens nearly as long as the perianth.

Abyssinia Nile Land Walcha Plateau, in the province of Sana, Schimper, 1622! Tigre; between Mai Gouagoua and Debra Sina, Quartin-Dillon & Petit, 46 (80)! Amba Sea, Schimper, 1855 (ex Engler), and without precise locality, Schimper, 572!
