Information
Plants usually robust up to 50 cm. Bulb up to 8 cm. in diameter. Leaves lanceolate with articulated vascular bundles, up to 38 cm. long and 3.5 cm. wide. Scape and pedicels pubescent; pedicels 5-13 mm. long in flower, somewhat longer in fruit; bracts up to 11 mm., occasionally pubescent. Perianth-segments white, greenish-white, pink to blue often with a green or dark midrib, 3-5 mm. Filaments and anthers often bluish. Filaments free or united with each other at the base, free part 2-3 mm. long; anthers ± 1.5 mm. long. Ovary ± 1.5 mm. long; style 1.5-3 mm. long. Capsule ± 4 mm. high, 6 mm. wide. Seeds black, few per capsule, somewhat turgid and irregularly folded to subglobose, ± 2 mm.
