bulb ovoid, 1 in. diam.; leaves 2–3, spreading, oblong, acute, 2–3 in. long, 1–1 1/4 in. broad at the middle, copiously marbled with black protuberant spots on a bright green groundwork; peduncle slender, under an inch long; raceme dense, globose, 5/8– 3/4 in. long and broad; central pedicels 1/6 in. long, lower cernuous; perianth campanulate, 1/8 in. long, bright mauve-purple both inside and out, down to the very base; stamens nearly as long as the perianth; filaments filiform, bright purple; ovary globose, stipitate. null
