bulb ovoid, 1/3 in. diam.; leaf single, contemporary with the flowers, linear, rather fleshy, glabrous, 8–9 in. long, 1/2 in. broad above the middle, narrowed gradually to the base; peduncle slender, 3–4 in. long; raceme short; pedicels 1/4– 1/2 in. long; bracts deltoid, minute; perianth mauve-purple, 1/8 in. long; segments oblong, spreading from the base; stamens shorter than the perianth; filaments flattened; anthers minute; ovary green, globose; style short. null

EASTERN REGION Natal, cultivated specimen, Adlam!
Notes
Sent by Mr. J. W. Adlam to Mr. J. H. Tillett, of Sprowston, near Norwich, with whom it flowered April, 1891.
