plant 5–9 in. high; stem slender, flexuous; leaves radical, spathulate, 1/2–1 in. long, with broadly elliptic-oblong obtuse or apiculate limb; petiole 2–3 lin. long; scapes 5–9 in. high, with 2 or 3 oblong-lanceolate acute suberect sheaths; spikes 1–4-flowered, lax; bracts ovate-lanceolate, acute or subacute, 3–4 lin. long; pedicels 4–6 lin. long; flowers rather large, pink, with yellow tips to the petals and four rows of violet dots on the lip; dorsal sepal erect, oblong or obovate-oblong, obtuse, concave, 5–6 lin. long; spur elongate-oblong from a narrowly conical base, subobtuse, somewhat curved, nearly as long as the limb; lateral sepals falcate-oblong, subacute, 5–6 lin. long; petals narrowly oblong from a broader base, unequally and shortly bifid at the apex, 4 lin. long; lip narrowly subpandurate behind, somewhat concave at the base, 8 lin. long, abruptly narrowed from about the middle into a long linear subobtuse apical lobe; column short; anther reflexed; rostellum short, erect; stigma pulvinate. null
