plant 1/2–1 ft. high; leaves 4–7, radical or subradical, linear or linear-oblong, subacute, 2–3 1/2 in. long, 1/6– 1/2 in. broad; scapes 1/2–1 ft. high, with 4–6 lanceolate acuminate sheaths; racemes oblong, rather broad, 1–1 3/4 in. long; bracts ovate, acute, 1/6– 1/4 in. long; flowers bright golden-yellow (Galpin); sepals broadly ovate, subobtuse, under 1/6 in. long, 3-nerved; petals broadly ovate, subobtuse, more than half as long as the sepals, 1-nerved; lip as long as the sepals, obscurely or shortly 3-lobed, slightly pubescent; side lobes rounded or very obtuse, very short, sometimes subobsolete; front lobe oblong or ovate-oblong, subobtuse; disc with 3 nerves or obscure keels at the base; spur saccate, very minute; column short and very broad. null
