Information
shrubby, glabrous; leaves obovate, obtuse, quite entire, subpetiolate, fleshy, with bearded axils; peduncles axillary, angulate, dichotomous, cymose-spiked; bracteæ linear, opposite; calyx campanulate, bluntish, denticulate; tube of corolla very villous inside, twice longer than the calyx, lobes marginate; style villous at the base; drupe globose, smooth, bilocular. Leaves 2–3 inches long, 1 1/2 in. wide. Flowers nearly 1 in. long. Drupe the size of a small cherry. [Scarcely, if at all, different from S. Plumieri, Vahl. W.H.H.]
