Description
A rhizomatous herb with scape rising to 60 cm, inflorescence spherical, pink or red, of dense forest areas in Ivory Coast to W Cameroons and Fernando Po, and extending over much of tropical Africa.The plant is ornamental. It is planted in villages, probably for fetish purposes on account of the bright flowers.
