Information
Low shrub to 50 cm high, much branched, most parts densely pubescent. Stems glabrescent with age, internodes very short. Leaves in 2 opposite ranks, overlapping on side branches, very fleshy, 3–4 x 2–2.25 mm, gradually widening from tip, base clasping and nearly surrounding stem, tip bluntly acute to rounded, densely pubescent, ciliolate on margin. Flowers congested at tips of lateral branches, sessile, 4–4.5 mm long, 2.5 mm in diam.; bracteoles like leaves but with wide scarious margins, c. 3 x 2 mm. Sepals 5, subacute, 4 x 2.5 mm, sericeous, with dorsal wing below middle. Stamens 5, 2–3 mm long, anthers 2 mm long. Ovary 1.5–2.5 x 1–1.5 mm; style 1.5 mm long, stigmas 2, 1 mm long. Fruit including wings 8 mm in diam.; wings 3–3.5 mm wide. Seed horizontal, c. 2.25 mm in diam.
