Information
Superficially similar to S. spinescens. Sprawling shrub to 1 m high, 3 m across, smelling strongly and unpleasantly of fish when bruised; branching irregular, not divaricate nor spine-tipped, stems very pale brown. Leafy shoots green; very young leaves with sparse suberect simple hairs. Fruiting perianth-segments glabrous, dorsal wings up to 2 x 3.5 mm.
