Notes
Hard narrow-leaved plants are placed in S. chevalieri, larger soft-stemmed broad-leaved plants in S. typhura. Between these two extremes there is a complete range of intermediates, and the division seems quite arbitrary; the two taxa may be no more than habitat forms of a single species.
