stem erect, almost simple, glabrous; leaves lanceolate, acuminate at both ends, flat or obscurely undulate, petiolate, up to 7 in. long and 2/3 in. wide, petiolate; flowers in a terminal leafless panicle with ascending branches; whorls many-flowered, approximate, sometimes almost contiguous; pedicels short; inner perianth-segments ovate, subacute, entire, all or only 2 bearing large warts; fruit pendulous. null
