Names
RHUS ciliata Lichtenstein [family ANACARDIACEAE], in herb. Willd.!;—R. & Sch.! syst. veg. VI. p. 661. DC. l. c. p. 71.
Information
branchlets puberulous, spinescent; leaves petiolate; leaflets sessile, linear-lanceolate, flat, quite entire, as well as the petioles, ciliate, puberulous beneath; panicles terminal, puberulous; drupe glabrous. Habit of Celastrus linearis. Branches patent, scabro-punctate, branches nearly horizontal. Leaflets 1 inch long, 1 1/2–3 lines wide, shortly acute, uninerved with inconspicuous veins, shining, the lateral ones smaller; petiole 4–6 lines long, small-winged. Flowers minute, sometimes diœcious, racemose-panicled or the lower racemes simple; pedicels patent, 1 line long; the upper racemes disposed in a compound panicle. Fruit unripe, sub-globose.
