RHUS Burkeana Sond. [family ANACARDIACEAE]
Information
branches terete, striate, thinly pubescent; leaves petiolate; leaflets sessile, oblong, mucronate, cuneate at base, glabrous, quite entire, flat, reticulated on both sides, paler beneath; axillary panicles small, shorter than the leaves, the terminal one longer, glabrous. Apparently a small shrub, with erect, purple branches. Petioles puberulous, terete, striate below, furrowed above, 1/2 inch long. Leaflets sub-coriaceous, pale, with prominent veins, 1 1/2–2 inches long, 4–6 lines wide. Terminal panicle compound, 1 1/2–2 inch, pyramidal. Flowers minute, glabrous.—Fruit I have not seen.
