Information
stems tufted, erect, very slender, simple, terete, puncticulate, purple-spotted; leaf-sheaths tightly convolute, coriaceous, membranous above, subulate-mucronate; spikelets 1–4, sessile or shortly stalked; each about 1/4 in. long, ovate-oblong; spathe sheath-like, shorter than the spikelet; bracts ultimately spreading, oblong deltoid, coriaceous, striate, mucronate-aristate; outer perianth-segments rather rigid, oblong, rather obtuse; lateral conduplicate, carinate; keel glabrous; inner shorter, hyaline, ferruginous at the base; anthers linear; pistillodium 3-styled. null
