Information
Bulb globose, 1/3– 3/4 in. diam.; tunics brown, rigid, produced as fibres above its neck. Leaves very slender, terete, 1 ft. long, channelled down the face. Peduncle very slender, stiffly erect, 6–9 in. long, 1-flowered. Spathe-valves equal, about 1/2 in. long, both firm and green. Perianth 3/4 in. long, plain purple with a white throat; segments oblanceolate, obtuse. Stamens more than half as long as the perianth limb. Style not overtopping the anthers.
