Information
plant 6–9 in. high; stem moderately stout, nearly straight; leaves 2, cauline or the lower subradical, suberect, oblong-lanceolate, acute or subacute, 3–4 in. long; scapes 6–9 in. high; spikes 2–3 in. high, somewhat lax, 2–6-flowered; bracts elliptic-lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, acute, 6–8 lin. long; pedicels 5–8 lin. long; flowers large, sulphur-yellow; dorsal sepal oblong-lanceolate, subacute, somewhat concave at the base, 8–9 lin. long; lateral sepals somewhat spreading, ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, 7–8 lin. long; petals completely cohering to the dorsal sepal, forming a spreading limb, obliquely obovate-orbicular, very concave, with subcrenulate outer margin, 7–8 lin. long; lip 3-lobed; side lobes auriculate, about 2 lin. long; front lobe strongly recurved, narrowly subulate-linear, 2 lin. long; appendage erect, cruciform, 5 lin. long, side lobes recurved, linear-oblong, obtuse, 2 lin. long; front lobe rather longer and bilobed at the apex; column short; arms of the rostellum diverging, oblong, obtuse, 1 1/2 lin. long; stigmas distant. null
