Information
Herb or subshrub 0.5–1 m tall from a thick fibrous rootstock 25–30 × 2.5 cm. Stems 2–4, erect, ± angular, pubescent. Leaflets 3, 6–14 × 2.5–9 cm, elliptic to obovate, rounded at the apex, broadly cuneate at the base, densely velvety on both surfaces with whitish hairs; venation very distinctly raised-reticulate beneath; petiole and rhachis each 1–1.2 cm long; stipules 10–15 × 1–1.5 mm, linear. Inflorescences terminal contracted panicles, very dense and many-flowered, up to 12 × 10 cm in fruiting state; peduncle up to 11 cm long. Structure of flowers and inflorescences as in previous species. Pods c. 15 × 6.5 mm, oblong-elliptic, compressed, densely covered with whitish or pale ferruginous hairs. Seeds reddish-brown, 4 × 3 × 1.2 mm, rounded reniform, with well developed rim aril.

Notes
Var. latistipulatum Hauman (type from the Katanga Province of the Dem. Rep. Congo) with leaflets 5 times as long as wide and stipules 3 mm wide appears to me from a photograph of the type to be Pseudoeriosema longipes and is not at all similar to true Pseudoeriosema homblei.
