Information
A shrub. Branches glabrous, terete. Leaves oblanceolate, subacute, 4 in. long, 1 in. wide, coriaceous, glabrous, with a distinct cartilaginous sometimes undulate border; veins loosely reticulate, obvious on both surfaces. Heads about 2 in. in diam.; outer bracts ovate, 3 lin. long, ciliate on the margin, otherwise glabrous, uppermost linear-oblong, 2 1/2 in. long, 4 lin. wide, rusty pilose at the apex. Perianth about as long as the innermost bracts, densely silky above. Anthers linear. Style about as long as the perianth, angular below, subulate above.
