branchlets terete, glabrous or finely puberulous; leaves of the male smaller than those of the female, the former 3–4 lin. long, 1–1 1/4 lin. broad, narrowly lanceolate, the latter 1/2– 3/4 lin. long, 1 1/4–2 lin. broad, narrowly oblong, all obtuse or subacute, very thick and coriaceous, glabrous, wrinkled when dry; male inflorescences crowded, nearly 1/2 in. in diam., transversely ellipsoid or obovoid; bracts 1 1/2 lin. long, lanceolate, subobtuse, villous, ciliate; perianth-tube 1 lin. long, minutely pubescent; segments 2 1/2 lin. long, pubescent; limb 2/3 lin. long, oblong, subacute; anthers 1/2 lin. long, linear; style 3 1/2 lin. long, very densely hairy on the lowermost third, filiform above; stigma 1/3 lin. long, clavate-cylindric, obtuse; hypogynous scales 1 lin. long, linear; female inflorescences about 5 lin. in diam., subglobose; bracts 2 lin. long, 4 lin. broad, tomentose, very minutely ciliate; perianth-tube 1 1/2 lin. long, compressed, curved, pubescent above, glabrous below; segments 1 1/4 lin. long, pubescent; limb 1/3 lin. long, oblong, subacute, pubescent; staminodes 1/3 lin. long, linear; hypogynous scales 1/2 lin. long, linear, acuminate, acute; style 2 1/2 lin. long, cylindric, furrowed above, glabrous; stigma 1/4 lin. long, subclavate; ovary 1 1/3 lin. long, ovoid, covered with long white hairs. null
