Information
stem branched, filiform; submerged leaves sessile, narrowly linear, acute; floating leaves lanceolate, long petioled; lower stipules slightly connate, the upper ones free, acuminate; peduncles slender; spikes varying from 3–8 lin. long; fruit compressed, oblique-obovate; style straight with the ventral margin; dorsal margin 3-carinate, and strongly repand denticulate, ventral nearly straight, with a projection in the centre tapering to either end, variable as to the teeth-like projections on various parts of the fruit, which are strongest in the Australian forms. null
