Information
Epiphytic herb, erect, to c. 45 cm tall.Stems clustered, reed-like, 2–5-leaved, 20–30 cm long, 3–6 mm in diameter, yellow-green, covered with brown, tubular sheaths when young.Leaves 10–20 × 1–2.2 cm, linear-ligulate, acute.Inflorescence (floral axis) to 20 cm long, usually shorter than the leaves; peduncle covered with papery sheaths; rhachis glabrous, with short, erect side branches.Flowers glabrous on outer surface, greenish-yellow tinged with purple, especially on the lip.Pedicel and ovary 5 mm long, glabrous; bracts scarious, c. 3 mm long, ovate, dark brown, ± imbricate.Dorsal sepal 6.6–8.5 × 3–4.5 mm, lanceolate, acute; lateral sepals 8.6–13.2 × 6–8 mm, obliquely triangular, acute; mentum 5–7.5 mm high, conical, slightly bifid.Petals 5–7.7 × 1.5–2.5 mm, oblanceolate, subacute.Lip clawed, 6.8–9.7 × 5.5–9.8 mm, shortly pubescent inside on the apical half, 3-lobed; mid-lobe 2–3 × 2.5–4 mm, ovate, acute; side lobes obtuse, erect, with a fleshy yellow callus between them.Column c. 1 mm long.
