Information
rhizome stout and woody; pseudobulbs approximate, ovoid, 1/2– 3/4 in. long, covered with imbricate sheaths, 2–3-leaved at the apex; leaves linear or linear-oblong, subobtuse, coriaceous, 1 1/2–6 in. long, 1/6– 1/3 in. broad; scapes erect, 1–4 in. long, puberulous; racemes simple, sometimes reduced to a single flower; bracts triangular-ovate, acuminate, 1/12– 1/3 in. long; pedicels slender, 1/4– 1/2 in. long; flowers rather large, white, with a deep yellow line on the front lobe of the lip; sepals somewhat spreading, triangular-ovate or triangular-oblong, subobtuse, 1/3– 1/2 in. long; petals oblong, obtuse, sometimes about as long as the sepals; lip 3-lobed, much shorter than the petals; front lobe broadly oblong, obtuse, revolute; side lobes small and obtuse; disc pubescent, with a thickened central keel; column very short and stout, its foot 1/6 in. long; mentum short and rounded; capsules oblong, 3/4–1 in. long. null
