Notes
A very variable species of which Holttum (Fl. Males, ser. II, 1: 33 (1959)) recognises 13 varieties in Malesia. In Fl. Males. ser. II, 1: 34 (1959), Holttum states ‘Type: Ceylon, Herb. Delessert (G)’; N.L. Burman cited Burm. Zeyl. 92 and Linn Fl. Zeyl. 201. The latter refers to a Herman specimen from Ceylon, now in the BM. I am accepting Schelpe and Anthony’s citation of the specimen at G as holotype to be a lectotypification. Holttum’s statement obviously refers to both.
