Scrambling shrub or herb, 0.3–2.5 m high. Leaf-blades ovate to oblong, 2.5–13 x 1–6 cm, acute, glabrous; petiole 2–12 mm long with clasping base. Peduncles with sessile glands; bracts 2–8 x 1.5–2 mm. Calyx 10–12 mm long, ribbed, with numerous stalked glands all over. Corolla white; tube 17–26 mm long; lobes 6–9 x 3–5 mm, apiculate.
