Information
Rhizome ± 2 mm in diameter, widely creeping, with fronds borne up to 2.5 cm apart, with lanceolate-acuminate brown rhizome-scales ± 3 mm long with a dark central stripe and wide pale lacerate margins. Fronds simple, stipitate, coriaceous; stipe grey-brown at maturity, up to 8(–10) cm long, with a few small pale circular to lanceolate scales with a dark centre; lamina up to 20 cm long and 1.7(–2.8) cm wide, narrowly elliptic or lanceolate, entire to weakly undulate, less often slightly to distinctly pinnatifid, upper surface glabrous, lower surface with numerous pale circular to lanceolate minutely lacerate scales under 1 mm long with dark centres. Sori oval or round, up to 4(–8) mm in diameter, in a line on either side of the midrib in the upper half of the lamina. Fig. 9.
