plant 1/2–1 1/4 ft. high, with 2 ovoid tubers; leaves 3–8, radical or subradical, linear or linear-oblong, obtuse or subacute, 1–4 1/2 in. long, 2–6 lin. broad; scapes 1/2–1 1/4 ft. high, with 3 to 6 lanceolate sheaths; racemes oblong, somewhat broad, 3/4–2 in. long, rather dense; bracts ovate or ovate-anceolate, acuminate, 1/4– 1/3 in. long; flowers yellow or rarely porcelain-white with a yellow lip; sepals ovate-oblong, subobtuse or apiculate, over 1/4 in. long, prominently 3-nerved; petals narrowly ovate, acute, more than half as long as the sepals, 1-nerved; lip about as long as the sepals, pubescent, 3-lobed; side lobes falcate-oblong, semiovate, subobtuse; front lobe linear-oblong, obtuse or subacute, about twice as long as the side lobes; disc with a small erect tubercle at the base; spur cylindrical or subcompressed, oblong, obtuse, about half as long as the limb; column very short. null
