Information
leaves obovate, tapering into the petiole, acute or rounded, or sub-emarginate at the apex, very entire, leathery, shining, reticulated beneath; panicle terminal, sub-umbellate, dense, glabrous or downy; capsules sub-globose. An erect shrub. Branches crowded, glabrous; young twigs often downy. Young leaves downy, adult glabrous, 1 1/2–3 inches long, 1–1 1/4 inch wide; flat or with revolute margins. Peduncles uncial, densely corymbose, alternately branched, often surmounted by fresh shoots, downy or glabrous. Sepals acute. Petals yellow-green, 5–6 lines long. Ovary downy. Style 1 line long; stigma capitate. Ripe capsule glabrous, as large as a pea, 2–6 seeded. It varies with smaller flowers and panicles.
