Lateral shoots finely scabrid to papillose-puberulous.
Habitat
On Kalahari Sands in low rainfall dry deciduous woodlands and short grasslands with scattered trees and shrubs, and in mopane woodlands on sand, also in pans on dry sandy river banks amongst stones, and on limestone outcrops
