much branched, branches fastigiate, corymbose; twigs pubescent; leaves spreading, lanceolate or linear-lanceolate, obtuse, callous, puberulous, at length smooth above, tomentose beneath, with revolute margins; flowers pedicellate, axillary, solitary, longer than the foliaceous bractea, disposed in a lax, terminal, leafy raceme; calyx yellowish-tomentose. Shrub, 1–2 feet high, known by the very numerous, filiform, fastigiate branches. Leaves about 3 lines long, 1 line wide, the uppermost 1 line long. Racemes 1/2–1 inch long, in the upper twigs often paniculate. Pedicels spreading, 1–1 1/2 lines, calyx 1 line long, campanulate, segments acute.
