Annual climber or suberect herb; leaflets ovate or ovate-rhombic, 4.5–15 x 2.5–10 cm, acuminate, pubescent; inflorescences 1–several-flowered; bracteoles ovate-lanceolate, 5–6 x 2.5–3.5 mm; calyx 4–5 mm long with lobes ± 1 mm long; corolla white, yellowish, purple or pink; standard 1–1.5 cm long; keel spirally incurved; pod linear-lanceolate, c. 10–20 x 1–1.5 cm, compressed, puberulous or glabrous, c. 5–10-seeded.
