Information
Foresttree, to 75 ft. high; flowers white, cream or greenish-white. [N.B.—there is no evidence of their ever being red as stated in ed. 1]; sepals persistent at the base of the fruit; seeds 3–10 embedded in a yellowish pulp. The yellow latex from the incised bark dries like gamboge.
