leaves on ciliated petioles, diverse, some oblong or ovate, entire, some three-lobed or 3-parted, the terminal lobe largest, rigidly ciliate, glabrous or nearly so; scapes branching, patently hispid; umbels pluriflowered, with subulate bracts; calyx pubescent and setose, the tube nearly twice as long as the lanceolate, acute lobes; petals narrow-spathulate. A small species with glabrous, fleshy leaves, about 1 inch long, and 3/4 inch wide, bordered with rigid, short, swollen hairs; mostly trifid. All the petals long and narrow, the two upper blotched in the middle, 3 lower flesh-coloured. Stipules subulate, scarious. Uppermost stamen very short, the two lowermost much longer than the intermediate pair, as in Dimacria, Sw.
