Information
stem short and succulent; radical leaves on long petioles, tri-quadri-pinnati-partite, with a linear-lanceolate outline, the segments short, filiform, multifid, canescent with appressed pubescence; ultimate lobes setaceous; stipules lanceolate-acuminate, adnate; scapes longer than the leaves, pubescent; umbel many-flowered, the pedicels about equalling the oblong, villous bracts, and, as well as the calyx, villoso-canescent; petals bipartite, their segments fimbriato-multifid.The petioles are 5–6 inches long; the decompound lamina about as long, and not more than 2 inches wide or less, multijugate, each segment as finely divided as a fennel-leaf. The pubescence generally is very short and white; that of the leaves and petioles appressed, of the scapes and calyx spreading. Scapes 12–14 inches high. Calyx-tube 1 1/2 inch long; the lobes 4–5 lines long, obtuse, at length reflexed. Petals twice as long as the calyx-lobes, dark-coloured at base, with yellow, capillary, fringe-like lobules. A very distinct and handsome species. null
