Information
An erect or sometimes prostrate undershrub, softly yellowish tomentose all over; flowers large, yellow with a red-purple centre 2 in. or more across; epicalyx of 12 downy free bracts, calyx with 3–5 green veins.

Widespread in the drier parts of tropical Africa
