Information
Small tree or shrub 1.5–7 m tall; young branches glabrous. Leaves confined to very short spurs off the main and lateral branches; blades obovate, 1.2–4.8 × 0.45–1.8 cm, rounded or obtuse and often with a thick mucro at apex, glabrous; lateral nerves indistinct, in ± 3 main pairs; bacterial nodules dot-shaped to linear, very sparse to several, scattered; petiole 0–3 mm long; stipule-limbs with ± subulate up to 2 mm long tip, hairy at base within. Flowers solitary or occasionally paired, sessile on the leafy spurs. Calyx glabrous; limb-tube 1.8–2 mm long; lobes very narrowly triangular to linear, 4–9 x 1 mm. Corolla-tube 2.6–4.3 cm long, glabrous outside; lobes 4.5–6 × 2–3 mm, acute to acuminate. Fruit 5–6 mm in diam.
