Information
Evergreen shrub c. 1–4 m tall; young branches glabrous or pubescent. Leaf-blades elliptic to obovate, 3.5–12(–15) × 1.5–5.3(–7) cm, acute to rounded and sometimes shortly apiculate at apex, ± leathery, glabrous or pubescent beneath; lateral nerves in 5–6 main pairs; bacterial nodules dot-like, scattered, numerous or few; petioles 0.3–2 cm long, glabrous or pubescent; stipule limbs 2–7 mm long, subtruncate to broadly ovate, with tip up to 3 mm long, often not present on mature stipules. Inflorescences subumbellate, ± compact, 2–4 cm across (excl. corollas); primary inflorescence branches 2–5.8(–10) mm long, glabrous or rarely sparsely pubescent; secondary branches present or absent; pedicels 2–9 mm long, glabrous or sparsely pubescent. Calyx glabrous or pubecent; limb-tube 0.75–1 mm long; lobes 3.5–8.5(–12) mm long, linear to lanceolate or narrowly triangular, acute, glabrous, ciliate or pubescent. Corolla-tube 10–22 mm long, glabrous outside; lobes 5–8 mm long, acuminate. Fruit 8–11 mm in diam.
