Information
Perennial up to 60 cm high, with creeping or floating spongy stolons, the stems prostrate and rooting from the lower nodes. Inflorescence 5–30 cm long; racemes 0.5–4 cm long, contiguous (but the lowermost usually remote), the rhachis narrowly winged, 0.5–1 mm wide, usually shortly ciliate. Spikelets ovate, 1.6–2.6 mm long; lower glume truncate, 1/4–1/3 the length of the spikelet; upper glume 2/3–4/5 the length of the spikelet; upper lemma granulose.
