Information
A sparsely hairy herb; branches erect, 18 in. long. Leaves opposite, sessile, 2 by 1/4 in., oblong, often slightly widened upwards. Spikes 2 1/2 by 1/2 in., cylindric, dense, white; bracteoles about half as long as the perianth, ovate, minutely mucronate. Perianth 1/3 in. long; segments oblong, subacute, muticous, glabrous. Staminodes shortly quadrate, fimbriate. Ovary obovoid, glabrous.
Distribution
Mozamb. Dist. Fwambo, in Urungu, south of Lake Tanganyika, Carson, 8! 50!
