Information
Slender shrub or subshrub, 0.3–1 m tall; stems with ± spreading eglandular hairs and usually also long glandular hairs. Leaves ± broadly elliptic to ovate, obovate or suborbicular, up to 14 mm long including up to 3 mm long petiole, up to 8.5 mm wide, with indumentum of ± spreading hairs on both surfaces. Spikes c. 2.5–5 x 0.7–0.8 cm; bracts lanceolate-ovate, 1–1.5 mm long. Calyx 2–2.5 mm long with 0.8–1 mm long teeth. Corolla white, 4–5 mm long.

Altitude range
1000–1250 m.
Distribution
SOMALIA Thulin & Warfa 6051.
Notes
Kabagoes (Som.). The type of P. newbouldii is a small and unusually densely glandular specimen of P. africana.
